2026 Vicksburg Little League All-Stars Information

What is All-Stars

• Little League All-Stars is a tournament team of  no more than 14 players chosen from each local little league from each age group/division that continues to play after the regular season is complete. Each division’s tournament schedule is slightly different and is directly related to the State tournament report dates. As a result, it is hard to provide an exact District All-Star tournament schedule and location for each division. The tournament schedule and location is developed once each local league identifies how many teams are going to participate. In some instances, the tournament may have multiple locations.

• This new team gets formed through the process below and will have a limited time to practice together before the tournament begins. Teams typically practice 3-4 nights per week for a 1-2 weeks in preparation for the tournament. Please keep this in mind when applying. It is ok if a player cannot make some of the practices; please communicate with your Manager on practice conflicts. However, keep in mind, this may affect their playing time and what position they play as that is based on the Manager’s discretion.

Who gets to participate/How to apply

• Players must have participated in 8 of the 12+ games scheduled on their regular season team. If a player subs for another team, those games would also count toward their 8 game total.

• Machine Pitch team (little league age 6-8) will play in a local tournament only beginning on June 16th.

• BB Players little league age 8/9/10 will compete in a district level tournament; the district tournament winner will be invited to the State tournament.

• SB Players little league age 8/9/10 will compete in a district level tournament; the district tournament winner will move on to participate in sectionals, winner of sectional will be invited to the State tournament; State tournament winners are invited to represent Michigan in the next step on the road to the Little League World Series.

• BB/SB Players little league age 9/10/11 will compete in a district level tournament; the district tournament winner will be invited to the State tournament; State tournament winners are invited to represent Michigan in the next step on the road to the Little League World Series.

• BB Players little league age 10/11/12 will compete in a district level tournament; the district tournament winner will move on to participate in sectionals, winner of sectional will be invited to the State tournament; State tournament winners are invited to represent Michigan in the next step on the road to the Little League World Series.

• SB Players little league age 10/11/12 will compete in a district level tournament; the district tournament winner will be invited to the State tournament; State tournament winners are invited to represent Michigan in the next step on the road to the Little League World Series.
  

• BB Players little league age 12/13/14 will compete in a district level tournament; the district tournament winner will move on to participate in sectionals, winner of sectional will be invited to the State tournament; State tournament winners are invited to represent Michigan in the next step on the road to the Little League World Series.

• SB Players little league age 12/13/14 will compete in a district level tournament; the district tournament winner will be invited to the State tournament; State tournament winners are invited to represent Michigan in the next step on the road to the Little League World Series.

• Application Process:

• Players should tell their coach that they are interested and also fill out an application form online.

• All-Star Managers and the Regular Season Managers will make recommendations for each division; the VLL Board will review and finalize each team.

• Managers will take into consideration skill level and attitude throughout the season.

• The players will be notified about their selection by an email to their parent/guardian. The $40 player fee for Softball programs and the $45 player fee for Baseball programs will be due within a week of being selected.

• Any player who showed interest, and is not chosen, will be given feedback by email as to why they were not selected and what to work to improve for the next year.

• 5/25/26: Application for Softball All Stars due date
• 5/29/26: Softball All Star Try Outs (6-14) and Baseball Majors (ages 10/11/12)
• 5/30/26: Baseball Machine Pitch All Star Try Outs (ages 6/7/8)
• 5/31/26: Baseball Little Majors All Star Try Outs (ages 8/9/10)
• 6/2/26: All Star Selection Completed 
• 6/15/26: Approximate Date Practices Begin
